Plain language, no surprises: what we collect when you use evdevs.com, what we do with it, and how to reach us about it.
Who we are
EVDevs is an engineering services firm. For anything about your data, write to our address (info at evdevs dot com).
What we collect, and why
When you contact us. Your email, your name if you give it, your message, what you need and when you want to start, the page you wrote from, and where your visit came from (see below). We use it to reply to you and to follow up on your request.
When you take a free self-check. Your answers are scored in your browser and are not sent to us unless you choose to. If you send the result to an engineer, it travels with your message. If you ask for your result by email, we receive your email address and your answers, send you the report, and record that you asked for it.
Where your visit came from. The site stores, in your own browser, the campaign tags of the link you arrived through (such as utm_source), the site that referred you and the first page you saw. It is sent to us only if you contact us or ask for a report, so we know which channels bring people who need us.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, and steps such as opening the contact form or completing a self-check. Google Analytics uses cookies. Our DNS provider, Cloudflare, also measures visits without cookies.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell or rent your data. We don’t add you to a newsletter. If you ask for a self-check result, we send that email only; we won’t write to you again unless you reply.
Who processes it for us
Vercel hosts the website and runs the forms. Our email provider delivers our mail. HubSpot stores contacts and messages so we can follow up. Google runs Google Analytics and, if you book a call, Google Calendar. Cloudflare provides DNS and privacy-friendly visit statistics.
Some of these providers are based in the United States, so your data may be processed there, under their own safeguards.
How long we keep it
Messages and contact details are kept while we are in conversation with you and for as long as needed for our records afterwards, unless you ask us to delete them. Analytics data is kept according to Google Analytics retention settings.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to us and we will answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA may give you further rights, and you can complain to your data protection authority.
You can also clear what the site stored in your browser at any time from your browser settings, and block or delete analytics cookies there.
Children
The site is meant for businesses and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
